Comic Relief

Finally got around to writing and posting a very quick blog about Comic Relief,  the amount of time and effort that went in to it was amazing, I believe that the total amount raised on night was something like 78 million, thats a lot of money.

I appreciate that its for charity and all that but what about right here in the UK?

“4 million children – one in three – are currently living in poverty in the UK, one of the highest rates in the industrialised world”

“The proportion of children living in poverty grew from 1 in 10 in 1979 to 1 in 3 in 1998. Today, 30 per cent of children in Britain are living in poverty.”

Sorry, just my thoughts…

  1. I’ve heard that some of the money does go to UK aswell as abroad but do wonder about people sometimes.

People will give to causes across the world but not help the person next door. Its quite strange.

I like the attitude of Treat each other as you would like to be treated and Help someone if you can but its not always that simple. Too much polotical correctness and worry about doing something wrong rather than just helping out.

    But thats just my opinion.
