End of a chapter

It was a sad night at church tonight, a family’s last night at Xcel, they are relocating “Down Under” to Australia.

Lots of tears and hugs from everybody.

They are such a incredible family and a big part of the Church.

Will be missed immensely.

Happy Birthday Xcel

So tomorrow is Xcel Church Darlington’s third birthday, time has certainly flown by and it really does not seem three years since i went to the very first Xcel Darlington service, in the last three years we have had a change in the service pastors, moved into central hall and seen lots of people go but also lots of new people arriving in the darlington campus.

When I look back over the last three years, I’m reminded of the ‘Footprints’ poem

The LORD replied:

“My son, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you.”

I can see where God has carried me, throughout the times of trial and questioning, I see God’s hand on it all and without being placed in Xcel Darlington I dont think I would have got through it.

Xcel is Home

HAPPY BIRTHDAY XCEL DARLINGTON

Move…Part two…

The Saturday we came to move, we wasn’t at all sure how many people that would come to help us move house, I’d sent out a appeal over Twitter, and sent out a lot of text messages asking for help, got a few back saying that people where already busy etc etc.

So anyway, come 12pm, there was 10 people there including myself and hubby and it was a good job really that nobody else came to help as they would have just got in the way, by 4pm we had more or less finished and only just in time as the heavens opened just as we where getting the fridge inside the new house.

I went to borrow one of the Xcel Church vans with my dad, been going to aycliffe for ages now, guess what…….I got us lost haha.

We eventually found it and picked the van up, its quite a huge van when you look inside so we could fit loads of things in.

A few people turned up with food or went out specially to get food and drink for us, so there was lots of food going around as people helped.

It was a good fast move, if we had not had all those people helping it would have took us at least a day to move everything.

Baptism

Church tonight was awesome, had thirteen people get baptised and it was such a thrill to see them all take that next step.

Makes me want to get baptised again!

Well done Guys.
